Bite Size Coffee Treats was founded in 2005 and proudly remains a 100% family owned and operated Australian company.
The original recipes for our products date back to Sparta, Greece, to a time when recipes were not written but shown. With the same tender care that her mother had shown her when she was a young girl, my grandmother, Sophia Malavazos, passed on the secret recipes for Greek traditional biscuits to her daughters.
They then took these and shrunk them down to make what they believed the hospitality industry was in desperate need for: a truly complimentary product to accompany the taste and presentation of coffee.
What started with these handmade bites, cooked in the homes of Sophia’s daughters, is now one of Sydney’s favourite boutique biscuits companies. Bite Size now bakes over 5 million coffee treats a year and supplies an array of establishments all over the country, ranging from cafes and espresso bars to internationally acclaimed hotels and casinos.
Vision
Imagine this… you walk into your local café, “latte 2 sugars?” Vince, the barrista calls out when he sees you. You sit at your favourite table and before you know it a rich creamy coffee is in front of you, and next to it a biscuit, small enough to eat without feeling guilty, big enough to tantilise your taste buds. As it melts in your mouth, you think to yourself, ‘why would I ever go anywhere else?’
At Bite Size our vision is to revolutionise the way coffee is served in Australia. It should be an experience, not just a shot of caffeine. We believe that the secret to success for any hospitality related business is memorable service and having a unique point of difference: At Bite Size we believe our products tick both these boxes.
